The following is a complete listing of the tombstones in the Reed Burying Ground in Pasquotank County, NC.
Location: Just past 2695 Peartree Rd across road in woods. You will see a marker for the Reed Burying Grounds out by the road. Cemetery is in woods behind marker.
This cemetery is in disrepair and sadly neglected.
As of September 2012 someone has gone in and attempted to clean the cemetery up. Unfortunately more damage has been done by the heavy equipment that was used. More graves have imploded and headstones damaged. We attempted to clean more and we will go back in the winter when the snakes, spiders and other things have gone so we can find other pieces of headstones and graves that we couldn't find. Cemetery is in even worse shape due to the constant neglect that it has suffered!
