  WILL OF WILLIAM JACKSON - FEBRUARY 21, 1695 In the name of God, amen. I, WILLIAM JACKSON ,SEN., of Pasquotank Precinct being in perfect health and memory blessed be to God for it do make the my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as followeth. Impris, I give unto almighty God my soul who gave it me to find mercy all the present days through the merits of my saviour, Jesus Christ. 2: I commit my body to the earth to be decently buried according to the descrition of my son, ZACHARIAH JACKSON. Item: I give and bequeath to my son, WILL JACKSON, JUNR., my long gun and middle sized dish and porenger and one ewe. 2: Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter, RUTH DAVIS, two ewes and a middle sized pewter dish and porenger. 3: I give and bequeath to my loving wife, ELIZABETH, a negro woman named Jane above her thirds. 4: I give and bequeath unto ZACHARIAH JACKSON and DAVID JACKSON, my two sons, the plantation I now dwell on and all the land thereunto belonging to them and their heirs. 5: I give and bequeath to my two sons, DANIEL JACKSON and SAMUEL JACKSON, a plantation situated on the easternmost branch of Herring Creek Swamp to them and their heirs forever. 6: I give and bequeath all the rest of my whole estate, real and personal, to be equally between my said four sons; ZACHARIAH JACKSON, DANIEL JACKSON, SAMUEL JACKSON and DAVID JACKSON. 7: I do make and appoint ZACHARIAH JACKSON and DANIEL JACKSON to be my whole and soul executors to see this my Last Will and Testament performed. 8: I do make my son, DANIEL JACKSON, to be an age now to perform anything relating as being my Executor for Confirmation of this my Last Will and Testament.
