This Indenture made the tenth day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven
Hundred and Sixty four between LUKE LAMB of the County of Pasquotank & province of
North Carolina Planter of the one part & GIDEON LAMB of the same place afsaid Planter
of the other part. Witnesseth that the said LUKE LAMB for the valuable consideration of
the sum of forty pounds proclm. Money to him in hand paid hath given granted bargained
sold aliened Enpeossed(?) conveyed & confirmed & by these presents doth bargain sell
alien enfeoff release convey and confirm unto him the said GIDEON his heirs & assigns
one plantation or tract or parcel of land situate on the N.E. side of Pasquotank River & on
the S. side of N.River beginning at a marked Chinquepin tree by the side of the River Swamp
W.S. W. to a marked gum thence W. to the River then down the River as the River runs to
a marked Crypress & thence to the first station containing fifty acres be the same more or
less. To have and to hold the afrsaid fifty acres of land more or less together with all houses
out houses orchards woods under woods Tythes Commons Pastare and every other
appurtenance thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said GIDEON
LAMB his heirs and assigns & the said LUKE LAMB doth covenant & agree to and with the
said GIDEON LAMB his heirs & assigns that he the said LUKE LAMB for himself his heirs
& assigns the afrsaid granted & bargained premises with the appurtenances thereunto
belonging unto him the said GIDEON LAMB his heirs and assigns from the claim of me my
heirs & shall forever warrant and defend. In Witness whereof the said LUKE LAMB hath
hereto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
